“ So glad I got to check out Martha before it closes! My friends and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and sat outside in the beautiful outdoor patio space to enjoy the nice weather. I got a glass of the draft kombucha to drink, which was refreshing. We ordered the French Onion Hummus with caramelized onions and shaved almonds as well as the Pickle Pot (assortment of seasonal pickles) to share. The hummus was delicious - I could have eaten several orders of it! I also ordered the Miso Caesar Salad (romaine, wild onion granola, pistachio, and shaved cheddar). The dressing was so delicious - the miso gave it such a nice umami flavor. Sad to see it's closing, but very happy I got to experience it before it's gone! ”
“ Donald the server was amazing! Food was shareable and tasty- drink selection was unique with a great outdoor space - super dog friendly. Will absolutely be back ”
“ Great experience! Fun guy old fashioneds and chill Vibes. Will def return* * came here after a weird time at Picnic and this by far was the best part of the night ”
“ I'm still digesting the vibe of Martha. Outside, there is a sign that you'll be entering a place that considers itself weird and asks you to join it. Walking in, I certainly agree that I don't totally understand the vibe: the decorations are rather random (though I truly love them?) and the music is all over the place (why did the song Amber from 2001 and Chappel Roan get thrown on the same playlist?). To that respect, I think the place tries a bit hard. That wouldn't bother me if there was a bit more cohesion to the menu or if it made sense. Truly, we had some trouble picking what to get. The heroes are a conglomeration of things, none of which follow a theme. In terms of the food, we started (this actually came last) with the crab toast. This was like an open-faced tuna melt and was actually fairly nice. Probably should be listed in the main section instead of an app (it's $14 and substantial). Mains started with the miso Caesar and we added tofu. It bothered me ever so much that they didn't offer any other proteins besides tofu for a Caesar salad, as tofu is like the last thing I want here (and they offer meat elsewhere on the menu, so it isn't as if they are vegan). The flavoring of this salad was fascinating. It's called a miso salad but I tasted minimal miso and did taste a lot of the pistachios they advertised. The tofu was strangely spicy-only strange when it's added to this salad. Our other main was the turkey hero which was fine... came with some nice chips and a pickle. Wish the distribution of the cheese on the sandwich was a bit more even. One thing that bothered me endlessly in the realm of the randomness of the menu is the choice of the Asian influences. Specifically bothersome is the fact that on the menu "banh mi" is spelled wrong. It just makes me question a little bit where this influence came from. The drink menu is pretty extensive and has a few nice options. They're open until midnight so I imagine maybe this is where they shine? As more of a bar with snacks? The staff is so nice, so I really wanted to enjoy the overall experience. It's very accessible with easy parking. So maybe worth popping in at night for an interesting drink! ”
“ Their patio seating is fun and perfect for a date night or group dinner. Their food is tasty but their cocktails are even better! Good service (a bit slow at times but good overall), close to everything in the neighborhood. We visited this place before attending an event at the Filmore and it was perfect. ”
“ Great tap cocktails. Lovely wines. Fun and interesting bites. Crush the pickle pot. Try the veggie banh mi. Share some gigante beans. Martha is a great neighborhood spot with awesome staff and good vibes. ”
“ Very hip little spot with great menu with options for vegetarians and vegans, and those who prefer non-alcoholic drinks. The house salad with tofu was excellent. Wait staff were very nice and relaxed. ”
“ We had an event near Martha so we stopped here first for a bite to eat. The inside of Martha is sooo cute!! We got a spot at the bar and found out it was happy hour so I ordered a vodka drink on special for $6. My bf ordered a beer that was not on special but it was still very affordable. We then ordered some food - we went w cold pizza (which is actually a dip and not cold pizza lol), spicy crab toast, and greek olives. All were delish and I would order all 3 again. I was a bit surprised that the olives arrived hot, but we just waited for them to cool down and then they tasted great. The bartenders were super attentive and nice. The one thing I do have to mention tho is the 5% surcharge for the kitchen staff. They wrote that it was 5% but the amount next to the service charge was more than 5%. Also, I do not understand why they don't just raise their prices 5%. Paying staff is a cost of running a business and should be factored in. ”
“ Martha is not your typical hoagie place. They have a handful of hoagies that are elevated. The turkey had tomato jam and burrata, while the big Martha had fried bologna and American cheese (think Big Mac). I love how every-time I go the hoagies are a little different than the time before. The menu is limited so it may not be for everyone. ”
“ Ugh, this place is disgustingly good. Like make you wanna lick the bowls good. The crab toast was a bit seafoody, but otherwise the breads, sauces, greens, everything were so delicious! Such an interesting menu. Nothing was too salty or greasy or anything--it was all perfectly balanced and put together. The cold pizza was a fave--loved the soft cheese and herbs. It reminded me of pizza Combos, but in the best way (I love Combos lol), and with wonderfully soft bread. The drinks were good, too! My hub got a pho-inspired drink and it was not as weird as you'd think, strangely compelling! And I loved my mocktail. Super appreciated that they had a decent mocktail list! Service was fast and friendly, and the vibe was super chill but also cute. Busy busy busy, so get there early or make a rez! ”
